The SOP That Never Was

Before the now well-documented incident involving the inappropriate training item - before Elizabeth handed me a dildo to use in place of proper Mannequin equipmemt - Venture Forthe had already been dodging accountability under the guise of "policy development."

During an earlier conflict involving student behavior and my authority to manage the classroom, I raised legitimate concerns about safety, boundary violations, and maintaining standards. When I exercised my judgment as a Registered Nurse Instructor to dismiss a disruptive student, I was swiftly undermined. My authority was questioned, and I was placed in a position where my own professionalism was put on trial - not the student's conduct.

Instead of supporting me or offering clear guidance, Venture Forthe responded with what sounded like a concession: they claimed they were "working on an SOP" - a Standard Operating Procedure to clarify student dismissal protocols and expectations.

It sounded good on paper. But it didn't lead anywhere. When I followed up in a meeting and asked about the SOP, their response said it all:

"Well, it hasn't been written."

No draft was ever shared. No policy was ever reviewed with staff. No follow-up occurred. What they called "an SOP in progress" was never finalized - at least not during my employment. And to this day, I have seen no evidence that such a document exists.

In hindsight, this now feels like the first red flag - a pattern of false reassurances and internal deflection. The SOP was never about protecting instructors or improving practices. It was about buying time and maintaining control. When you delay action with vague promises, you don't have to be accountable.

This was before the sexual harassment. Before the FMLA interference. Before the retaliation. But the playbook was already in motion.

It will be interesting to see if they now scramble to write the SOP they claimed was already underway.

Or if they hope no one remembers they said it at all.
